New Directions for Women presents..SOULDRAMA® TRAINING IN PHILADELPHIA Presenter: Connie Miller NCC,LPC,TEP, Founder of Souldrama Join Us August 29, 2014! In twelve step programs, people heal partly through the telling and sharing of their own stories. It is through the sharing of the trauma and pain, and the subsequent healing, that people form common bonds that unite them. This workshop will begin to teach you how the new seven stage group action model of Souldrama®, the new experiential group model for the 12 step programs, can be applied to the process of recovery. We will be incorporating an experiential piece to the training, but this will be geared towards teaching practitioners how to facilitate Souldrama® sessions with their own patients and clients. Training is provided by World-Renowned Founder and Trainer of Souldrama®, Connie Miller. Learn How to Help Your Patients: •Enhance their relationship with a Higher Power and put the 12 Steps into action •Use Action sociometry to build group cohesion and enhance communication •Utilize Doubling and role reversal as powerful tools for awareness of self and others •Role Play to explore challenging situations that arise on the path to sobriety and practice skills necessary to prevent relapse •Use experiential techniques to pass through the doors of Souldrama® as they access their spiritual and emotional intelligence •Use specific action warm-ups to help focus on substance use disorder related issues
